Bali Tips and Tricks
I did receive some enquiries with regards to my honeymoon trip with Hubby Darling recently. Below are some of the tips and tricks (based on my personal views and opinions)
Flight ticket
Bought in advance during AA offer last year.
Bali Package
At first, we went to MATTA FAIR searching for honeymoon tour to BALI. On average the cost for this package ranging from RM1250 - RM1800 per person for 4 days 3 nite or it can be more depending on where you wanted to stay and the activities that included in the package.
I was looking for HALAL package, but sadly most of the attractive package that I found in MATTA FAIR did not carry the HALAL Menu
So I collected all the honeymoon flyers and I decided to make my very own 'sweet romantica' itinerary and slash off the place that I was not keen to go That is the beauty of when you can customised your itinerary yourself
Villa and Hotel
Bali is so very famous with Villa & its private pool. So as I wanted this to be the memorable one, I opted a night stay in this type of Villa. You might find a good decent Villa at price range from RM350 to RM1000. You can even request the villa to make your room on 'Honeymoon set up' through email and some of the villa might do the setting with no-cost and offer FREE pick-up transfer from the airport (just email and ask them *subject to their own T&C). How good service they have isn't it? I booked via Agoda.com and all you have to do is just look for special promo or deals
My story - During my online Villa hunting activities, I stumbled upon this one nice villa only cost me around RM180 per night nett inclusive tax etc via booking.com at kerobokan (North Kuta) area. The villa comes with bedroom, kitchen, living hall and private pool. The following week, I found that the same villa cost around RM260 per night, and eventually a week later the price increase to around RM350 per night. Now the price increase to around RM430 per night Wallah, that is why I said earlier, go and hunting for a good deal The thing that I was not fond with the villa and far from my liking although I got a very good deal because I found statue inside the villa which are very norm for a typical villa architecture in Bali so I opted for Modern Villa instead
Hotel - You will be spoiled for choice for a nice decent hotel in BALI price ranging as low as RM120 - RM1000. Like I said above, just google via agoda.com / booking.com / etc and look for special promo and deals For muslim, I would recommend if you book HOTEL that has HALAL certificate so that you will not experience breakfast food mixing up with non-halal food (which boleh kembang tekak if you know what I mean). In fact, halal doesn't mean only no pork and no lard but how they slaughtered the animals are also questionable. Worry free, book HALAL hotel and you can save all the troubles I found list of HALAL HOTEL here: http:// english.balihalaltour.com/ bali_hotel.html.
Ground arrangement (Tours only)
Thanks to Mr Google, I found many 'Muslim Supir (Driver)' in Bali. From freelance driver to a service company. As this is my first trip to Bali, I opted to use the service from a reliable company that has good reviews via tripadvisor. I was using balihalaltour.com service and my driver, Pak Muji was very knowledgeable (just ask him because he has 22 years experience resides in Bali) and nice Muslim driver. I would recommend you to use their service if you were to come here with your family members The price that they are planning to charge us at first with the below customised itinerary is only around RM1200 for both (me &hubby) for 4 days 3 nite activities inclusive price for Romantic Dinner at Jimbaran and Sunset Cruise Dinner and other meals as well. But when I asked them to check the halal status on Sunset Cruise Dinner (pls note this is my customised itinerary that I copy & paste from one package to another :D), finally they confirmed me that at the moment there is NO HALAL menu for Sunset Cruise Dinner. Actually the big chunk of the cost is for this cruise activity which can cost you around RM150 per person. Since I can't take the cruise, finally I agreed to use their service as 'private driver' which they charge IDR450,000 per car (only 2 of us) for full day tour (around RM135) for 12 hours tour regardless the distance. All you need to do is to prepare the entry fees, parking, makan-makan (this is a very hustle free because they will bring you to Halal Restaurant and you were also brought to Masjid or Musolla for Solat (If you hired them for many days, maybe you could nego on the price - just try your luck)
Last day of my tour, I decided to use different ‘Muslim Supir’ service via http:// heavenbalitour.blogspot.com / operated by freelance Supir @waris . A very young, energetic, decent and nice Supir and the best thing is he managed to capture our photo the way that I wanted it to be Thumbs up you Waris. The charge for his service only IDR350000 for full day tour (around RM105).
My customised itinerary as below:
Day 1 - Reach BALI around 2pm in the afternoon

Hopefully the above summaries might be helpful for you (especially for first timer) if you are planning to go to Bali. My advise, find Muslim Driver and Halal accommodation. Hustle and hurdle free At the same time, you could also help them to boost up their economy
Plus point for Bali, orang-orangnya miliki akhlak yang baik Jauh berjalan luas pemandangan..
